The International School of Design & Technology (ISDT) was established in 2006 by a team of designers and educators. ISDT is a joint venture between Singapore Institute of Materials Management (SIMM) and Pico Art International Pte Ltd (PICO). SIMM started in 1980 as a non-profit educational institution. Its aim is to provide a high standard of education in the field of logistics and procurement. PICO, established in 1969, is today a partner to some of the world’s leading companies in the innovative business of ideas and concepts which define a brand in the challenging world of Event Marketing. With the aspiration of the Singapore government to transform Singapore into a design hub, ISDT aims to facilitate and cultivate creative minds through knowledge, technology and business driven concepts.

ISDT/SIMM's Board of Advisors comprises of an international panel of experienced industry practitioners. We have designed our courses to be relevant, to parallel itself to the rigorous demands of the industry, and most importantly, to provide a fulfilling academic journey to an exciting career in the field of design. ISDT’s lecturers are professional designers from relevant industries and disciplines with academic, and professional qualifications.

Our courses are structured to allow students to maximize their potential in the relevant fields of design through seminars, case-studies, discussions, current developments and software application training. Our lecturers comprise of both local and overseas practitioners and our external examiners are from Swinburne University. We work closely with Pico, the Association of Design, ITE, Polytechnic, the RFID advisory board, and several design companies. We also have a strong agency network comprising of existing network, ITE, Polytechnics and overseas networks, to help you ignite your creativity.
