Module 1 - Introduction to Conventions and Exhibitions Management (30 Hours)
This Introductory course will provide the student with a foundational knowledge of the Conventions and Exhibitions Management industries. Topics of study will include an overview of the major industry suppliers, types of Conventions and Management, the impact and government’s overall role in the regulation and promotion of events and exhibitions industries

Module 2 - Introduction to Meeting and Incentives Management (30 Hours)
Group travel, incentive travel and meeting management are lucrative segments of the travel industry. In this course students will be introduced to the operations, pricing, and marketing of group, incentive and meeting travel. Students will examine various aspects of these markets from speculative leisure and special interest groups to corporate meetings and incentive travel.

Module 3 - Marketing Management for Events and Exhibitions Management (30 Hours)
This subject aims to provide students with grounding in marketing with a particular emphasis on the events and exhibitions sector. Topics covered in this subject include the marketing environment, the marketing mix, customer behaviour, bidding for projects, sponsorship, packaging, special effects, marketing planning, marketing research, and post-event evaluation.

Module 4 - Logistics Management for Events and Exhibitions (30 Hours)
This course covers the logistics and selection of venue, production schedule, audio-visual tools, lighting, sound, special effects, video, music and entertainment. Legal, ethical and risk-management issues will be also discussed, with an emphasis on contracts, permits, licenses and risk-management procedures

Module 5 - Multimedia Management for Events and Exhibitions (30 Hours)
Student will learn the state of art solutions in Multimedia, Video and Broadcasting. Students will have practical training on production, presentation and delivery capabilities to companies that want to create and distribute live or on-demand television-quality broadcasts, over any medium, including the internet.

Module 6 - Public Relations and Sponsorship for Events and Exhibitions (30 Hours)
Prepares students for the high-energy, growing opportunities in community special events and festivals, corporate, sports, non-profit, and fundraising activities. Planning and marketing of such events to generate gate interest, identity, and sponsorship are explored. A second emphasis is on development and correct use of press release, media kits, public relations and communications strategies, and dealing with emergency situations involving media.

Final Project - Events and Exhibition Project Management/Industrial Attachment
Adaptation of the project management fundamentals to the event and exhibition project life cycle; event feasibility form marketing and operational point of view; risk management in the event context; stakeholder analysis; event and exhibition system analysis and documentation; decision analysis in the event environment; event and exhibition terms and partnering.

Assessment
Teaching and learning on the course uses many different methods and this is reflected in your assessments which will include practical work, simulations, case studies, projects, observation of live events, client briefs and knowledge tests. You will have every opportunity to demonstrate your ability and skill attainment to achieve your goal of successful graduation and employment.
